Golf fans are celebrating after it was announced that Sotogrande is set to play host to the World Corporate Golf Challenge this July. The six-day event is one of the biggest golf tournaments in the world, with more than one million golfers from over 20 countries competing on behalf of their employers for the much-acclaimed title of World Champion.
The prestigious competition started in 1993, but this is the first time it will be held in Sotogrande, meaning the town will join a list of world-class resorts that have staged the hotly anticipated event. During the WCGC, players will stay at the luxurious NH Almenara Hotel and compete at one of the finest courses in Spain – La Reserva Club de Golf. Last year’s final was held at The Carrick near Loch Lomond, in Scotland – with a team representing Rolls Royce walking away with the prestigious trophy.
